Hi, my name is Heather Stevenson-Smith. I found Kinesiology when my darling mum recommended it to me several years ago - I had never heard of it! But after seeing a Kinesiologist for only a few sessions, I found that my physical symptoms and my emotional outlook on life had completely changed for the better - I was hooked!.
For years I had worked in various office environments, which I enjoyed but felt wasn’t the right profession for me. I had always found holistic, alternative and complementary therapies fascinating, so when I found Kinesiology & discovered how much it worked for me, it was an easy decision for me to make the switch of career path, and I’ve never been happier.
I trained in PKP Kinesiology at the Scottish Kinesiology College, Musselburgh, Nr Edinburgh for 4 years and graduated the PKP Diploma programme in December 2003.
In 2006 I qualified as a Touch For Health Instructor enabling me to bring Kinesiology to absolutely everyone who wants to learn and either use with family and friends, incorporate into work they already do as therapists or wants to go on to becoming a Professional Kinesiology Practitioner—like myself!
Though my passion will always remain rooted in Kinesiology, I went on to train in some other therapies I felt drawn to and complemented my work as a Kinesiologist.
I am a Professional Kinesiology Practitioner and Touch For Health Instructor and I work full-time helping others achieve their goals, and take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing in the areas they can. |
